Tsa Lung is a series of ancient Tibetan yogic practices that brings balance and harmony to our physical body, energy, and mind. The term Tsa Lung can be translated as the energy-winds in the Channels, for these practices are designed to open the subtle channels and chakras, guiding the healthy flow of the energy-winds  so that we can enjoy good health and reconnect with more calmness to  a quiet, peaceful mind. These exercises are easy to perform, and are suitable for everyone.

There are three levels of Tsa Lung practice: External, Internal and Secret. The External Tsa Lung works primarily on the physical level, using simple movements and breath exercises to balance the energies within our body. The Internal Tsa Lung works more at the level of breath and subtle energy, bringing our attention to opening the five chakras and the central channel. The Secret Tsa Lung uses subtle visualizations within the chakras and central channel to bring harmony to the mind, so that we can rest in our inner refuge, nature of mind. All of the Tsa Lung exercises integrate and balance the five elements within: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space. We will explore how each of the chakras are associated with specific elements and how we can clear emotional blockages in our subtle energy body.

These practices are drawn from the Bön Mother Tantra, the highest tantra of the Tibetan Bön tradition. They are a beautiful complement to any meditation practice, and particularly to Dzogchen. They are frequently performed at the beginning of a session so that meditation is deeper and more stable.

One the first day we will focus on the External Tsa Lung and the basic qualities of the elements. On the second day will will introduce the Internal and Secret Tsa Lung and explore more details of the subtle qualities of the elements and how they affect our body, mind and emotions. On both days we will have plenty of time to practice tsa lung and clarify any questions you may have. People are welcome to join for either or both of the days.

Dates: 20 - 31 August 2019

In 2019, our retreat in Jomsom, Nepal, brought together philanthropists and prominent figures, culminating in an extraordinary achievement: raising over $700,000 for the development of the Shenten Thagye Ling Monastery. This significant contribution enabled the initiation of the monastery's first phase, significantly forwarding our mission. The retreat offered a unique opportunity for participants to delve into the sacred Atri practices of the Bön tradition and the exploration was facilitated by helicopter tours, providing an unparalleled view and experience of the deeply spiritual landscape.

The initial phase of our project saw remarkable accomplishments, including the establishment of a medical clinic that now serves over 3,000 locals every year. Additionally, we successfully transformed a local hotel into a hostel for children, thereby making a substantial impact on the community.

Building upon this momentum, the Mustang Bön Foundation is excited to extend an invitation to the Mustang Valley. This is not just a spiritual retreat; it's a profound journey into the heart of the Bön tradition, immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas. Our endeavor goes beyond personal enrichment; it actively contributes to the preservation and celebration of a rich cultural heritage.
